Lizwe Lami

I was 7 years old when South Africa had its first democratic election. I remember the excitement and the long queues as people waited in anticipation to make that cross that was going to change everything.
Fast forward to 2016 my country still faces many challenges and to many it feels like things have not changed.
I don’t want to list the problem that we face as a nation that’s not what this post is about. Instead I want to remind us of our strength, resilience and beauty. This post is about hope, I want to remind us that lidoda duvha ‘ the sun will rise again’
We have a long way to go and its gonna take a lot to get us there, we can’t lose hope not now! There is still so much to fight for. I choose to be part of the group of people who are playing their part in building this nation. I choose to remain hopeful. Will you join me and together let’s make this nation great.

  1. The song is so unexpected especially given your gospel background.

Beautiful song, I cried while listening to it, can’t wait to hear more from you.

    1. Good morning Tebogo

I needed to create something that spoke to how I feel about my nation. I think we are such a beautiful nation and have been blessed with so much. We all need to pull together and start building our great nation. Thank you so much for taking time to write to me, and for listening to my song. God bless you and my you have a blessed week
